Lost and broken, Celaena Sardothien’s only thought is to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend: as the King of Adarlan’s Assassin, she is bound to serve this tyrant, but he will pay for what he did. Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy.

While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love?

YES!!!! Yes, yes, and more yes, please!!!! If you couldn’t tell, this is one of my personally most anticipated books of 2014! It’s in the top 2 to be exact, and the other one already came out in March. Huzzah! I don’t know why I am so drawn to this character, and this series, but I am. I love it. Its great that I am still able to get so excited about a book after so many years of continuous reading. And with the way that book 2 ended… Oh, boy, I don’t know how I’ve held myself together all these months! I feel like each book did such a great job not only introducing the characters, but really building on them from book 1 to 2, and I have no doubt that Maas will continue this trend with book 3. And I don’t know if anyone else keeps up with her Pinterest page, but there’ve been some images that “remind her” of characters we haven’t met yet!! I just keep thinking, things are about to get really, really good. September can’t get here soon enough!

  1. It’s a lot of others too, I haven’t started the series yet so I’m not in on the hype (I’ll probably start when the series is finished, but considering there’s another 3 books, that’ll be a loooong time, so I’ll probably start them before then. 🙂
