So I’d just like to take a moment to talk about this part of the books:

U Know Poo

Haha! This is the part of the books that made me laugh longer, and harder, than any other. It was just amazing. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince just starts out so grim and this moment just made everything better.

“Set against the dull, poster-muffled shop fronts around them, Fred and George’s windows hit the eye like a firework display. Casual passersby were looking back over their shoulders at the windows, and a few rather stunned-looking people had actually come to a halt, transfixed. The left-hand window was dazzlingly full of an assortment of goods that revolved, popped, flashed, bounced, and shrieked; Harry’s eyes began to water just looking at it…

Harry started to laugh. He heard a weak sort of moan beside him and looked around to see Mrs. Weasley gazing, dumbfounded, at the poster. Her lips moved silently, mouthing the name ‘U-No-Poo.'” – pg 116

Well, that’s really all I’ve got for ya! Just a small moment of sweet HP goodness! I hope you enjoyed it, and please, feel free to share your own favorite moments in the comments below!

  1. Such a hilarious moment! You’re right…everything was gloom and doom and that bit of outrageous humor shook things up a bit. I love Fred and George’s ability to make me laugh so much! Great pick 😀
