One moment of recklessness will change their worlds.

Smart. Responsible. That’s seventeen-year-old Breanna’s role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully’s line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas “Razor” Turner into her life.

Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don’t belong. But when he learns she’s being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it’s time to step outside the rules.

And so they make a pact: he’ll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she’ll help him seek answers to the mystery that’s haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they’re both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they’re going from here.

I’m such a big fan of Katie McGarry! Her stories, are always full of drama and tension, but still feel like the characters could step off the page and into this world with no problems! They are that real. The situations and problems they face are true to life and I feel like if I went down to Kentucky I would find these people walking around. With her new Thunder Road series, I liked the first book but wasn’t as into it as her previous series. But now with book 2, I find I’m really excited to read about Razor! We don’t really know too much about him from the first book so I’m kinda glad he’s the focus of this story.

A summer road trip changes everything in this unforgettable new tale from acclaimed author Katie McGarry

For new high school graduate Echo Emerson, a summer road trip out west with her boyfriend means getting away and forgetting what makes her so… different. It means seeing cool sights while selling her art at galleries along the way. And most of all, it means almost three months alone with Noah Hutchins, the hot, smart, soul-battered guy who’s never judged her. Echo and Noah share everything — except the one thing Echo’s just not ready for.

But when the source of Echo’s constant nightmares comes back into her life, she has to make some tough decisions about what she really wants — even as foster kid Noah’s search for his last remaining relatives forces them both to confront some serious truths about life, love, and themselves.

Now, with one week left before college orientation, jobs and real life, Echo must decide if Noah’s more than the bad-boy fling everyone warned her he’d be. And the last leg of an amazing road trip will turn… seriously epic.

So, it may be obvious to most of the internet at this point (at least the ones who pay attention to blog) but I love a good romance. And what I’ve come to love, admire, and expect from Katie McGarry is a wonderfully romantic story that also feels incredibly true to real life. Of all her couples, Noah and Echo are still my favorites. I’m so excited that she’s putting out this continuation of their story, because I adore the idea of what happens after the happily ever after. Especially with teenagers. There’s always more to their stories, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this one!!

Teaser Tuesdays: Nearly Gone and Take Me On

Teaser Tuesdays

It’s time for another “Teaser Tuesday!”

This feature (or meme)  is one I discovered on my friend Kim’s site Book Munchies, and is hosted by MizB of the Should Be Reading blog. For those of you who would like to play along at home (or more specifically on your homepage), here is how Teaser Tuesdays work.

– Grab (one of) your current read(s) and open it to a random page
– Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
– BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
– Remember to include the title & author, too, so that your followers and any Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their reading lists if your tease has captured their attention!

Acclaimed author Katie McGarry returns with the knockout new story of two high school seniors who are about to learn what winning really means.

Champion kickboxer Haley swore she’d never set foot in the ring again after one tragic night. But then the guy she can’t stop thinking about accepts a mixed martial arts fight in her honor. Suddenly, Haley has to train West Young. All attitude, West is everything Haley promised herself she’d stay away from. Yet he won’t last five seconds in the ring without her help.

West is keeping a big secret from Haley. About who he really is. But helping her-fighting for her-is a shot at redemption. Especially since it’s his fault his family is falling apart. He can’t change the past, but maybe he can change Haley’s future.

Hayley and West have agreed to keep their relationship strictly in the ring. But as an unexpected bond forms between them and attraction mocks their best intentions, they’ll face their darkest fears and discover love is worth fighting for.

There are oh so many reasons why I love books by Katie McGarry. Chief among them being that I love the way she writes teenage characters. For me, they always come across so pitch perfect in the way they sound and the way they behave. I like that all the stories are interconnected, but you don’t have to necessarily read them in order. Each couple stands by themselves for the most part, and I love that. I’m looking forward to seeing more of West, because previously I wasn’t so sure I liked him very much. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to see from his perspective. McGarry also does her romances really well. In some, you can practically feel the steam rising off the page, and I’m hoping this is no exception!
