It’s time for another “Teaser Tuesday!”
This feature (or meme) is one I discovered on my friend Kim’s site Book Munchies, and is hosted by MizB of the Should Be Reading blog. For those of you who would like to play along at home (or more specifically on your homepage), here is how Teaser Tuesdays work.
– Grab (one of) your current read(s) and open it to a random page
– Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
– BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
– Remember to include the title & author, too, so that your followers and any Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their reading lists if your tease has captured their attention!

Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1) by Sara Raasch
Hardcover, 422 pages

They scramble for the lever that will close the iron bars over me, but it’s too late — I push the horse on, throwing a glance at the guard who first stopped me on my way in. His eyes widen with recognition, so I rip off the black cap that covered my hair as I whizz past, galloping across the bridge over the Feni River. White strands stream around me, some matted with sewer much, but most tossing in the wind. A living snowstorm, a vibrant white reminder that they haven’t enslaved every Winterian. Some of us are still alive. Some of us are still free.
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
Hardcover, 496 pages
Publisher: Thomas Dunne Books
Release Date: September 23rd, 2014
ISBN# 9781250047533
Page: 161
The clouds rolled on without her, the glorious colors fading to violet and grey. Far below her, the lake grew dark. Rain lashed the stony cliffs.
Margherita took a deep breath and wiped her wet face on the sleeve of her nightgown. She turned and sat down, hiding her face in her arm. There was no way out. Not unless she grew wings and flew.
They both sound awesome 🙂

I like the sound of both teasers, but Bitter Greens is pulling me in. There is such a romantic tone to the teaser, and well, I’m a hopeless romantic! 🙂

Really sounds exciting. Thanks for sharing. I like the first one best. The picture of the herione throwing of her cape upon her beautiful horse has my attention. I love the title too.
