The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars in Gretchen McNeil’s witty and suspenseful novel about four disparate girls who join forces to take revenge on high school bullies and create dangerous enemies for themselves in the process.

Bree, Olivia, Kitty, and Margot have nothing in common—at least that’s what they’d like the students and administrators of their elite private school to think. The girls have different goals, different friends, and different lives, but they share one very big secret: They’re all members of Don’t Get Mad, a secret society that anonymously takes revenge on the school’s bullies, mean girls, and tyrannical teachers.

When their latest target ends up dead with a blood-soaked “DGM” card in his hands, the girls realize that they’re not as anonymous as they thought—and that someone now wants revenge on them. Soon the clues are piling up, the police are closing in . . . and everyone has something to lose.

Okay, so, who hasn’t fantasized about getting even with all those who’ve done you wrong? Especially when you were in high school. I’m sure many people can’t say what they want to in the moment, or have trouble standing up for themselves, and I LOVE the idea that these girls are getting even for them. This book just sounds so delicious and drama-filled and holy-moley a murder to boot? This one, this is gonna be good. I can feel it!

    1. I know! I’m really excited by the idea that its a secret society, and makes me wonder if this is a tradition that’s been passed down to them, or if its one they started themselves! Can’t wait to find out!

  2. This sounds a lot like Burn for Burn by Jenny Han. Wasn’t too big of a fan of that one, but hopefully this one will be better! 🙂 Great pick.
