Teaser Tuesdays: Tabula Rasa and Heir of Fire

Teaser Tuesdays

It’s time for another “Teaser Tuesday!”

This feature (or meme)  is one I discovered on my friend Kim’s site Book Munchies, and is hosted by MizB of the Should Be Reading blog. For those of you who would like to play along at home (or more specifically on your homepage), here is how Teaser Tuesdays work.

– Grab (one of) your current read(s) and open it to a random page
– Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
– BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
– Remember to include the title & author, too, so that your followers and any Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their reading lists if your tease has captured their attention!

—> Now on to the main event!

Hey there folks, I have a treat for you today! My two teasers come from a couple of e-galley copies that I’ve received courtesy of NetGalley and their respective publishers (and a big thanks to them!). I’m super excited about them both, and I think you might be as well. Enjoy!

I pick up the nailer and stick it in the inside pocket of my coat. “I’d rather freeze to death than get shot.”

“That’s the spirit,” he says as he checks his watch again.

Technically, I’ve finished reading Heir of Fire already, but as I struggle to write my review (and make attempts to unbias myself) I feel the need to share a piece of it. Trying to hold back my squee-ing is more difficult than I thought it would be, lol!

Heir of FireHeir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3) by Sarah J. Maas

For a moment, the general stared at him, a glimmer of surprise and amusement darting across his tan face. Then Aedion purred, “You’ve turned out to be a far more interesting man than I thought, Captain.”

  1. Interesting teasers! Thanks for sharing them. Interesting choice of words for speech on the second one – purring. Thanks for coming by!
